Insert Server-Side Calendar Year 2010 Holidays for Exchange 2007 and 2010?
Sure.
We have been very gratified with the legions of you out there who've been happily inserting holidays using our Sumatra UtilitiesTM for Exchange 2003 (still available here).
And for the last two years you've been very patient.
So now we get to tell you that the Sumatra Utilities for Exchange 2007 are here.
Listening to our clients, we've added additional features.
A typical US holiday file for insertion can look like this:

And it will show up in inserted calendars like this:

The Sumatra Utilities can:
-
Insert server-specific or user-specific Holidays with NO user intervention. It's also customizable for different state or national holidays. You can define Free/Busy status, and have meetings that last specific times.
-
Remove Terminated Users and their meetings cleanly from Exchange with customizable notification for guests
-
Find and remove broken meetings from resource calendars
We've added a few previews of more advanced features (stuff typically for larger sites) including our "CalendarPump" and our ResourceWatch(TM) application.
-
Proactive in avoiding resource conflicts
-
Protective of the integrity of the Exchange Store
-
Professional in delivering capabilities to users while keeping their required input out of the direct loop
Licensing
We do this on the honor system: If you want to try it out to make sure it works and then come back to license, that's fine (please do not abuse the privilege we've all either got kids in college or student loans that look like the national debt of Paraguay).
Special cases: If you are a non-profit and do good work for the community (like saving or mending lives), you can opt for the $495 license regardless of size and we won't have qualms. If you're a reviewer or would like a complimentary copy for some other reason, contact us. When in doubt, ask.
This is based on our Calendar Server conversion technology. Our method is set up by the Exchange admin and requires no user intervention at all.
The documentation for the Utilities is here (a Word doc, I'd click and save if I were you).
Contact us for a trial. We used to let you immediately download the the software to try it, but too many people abused the privilege. Remember use of the Sumatra Utilities is governed by a license which you will find in the manual (which you can download without the code above if you have any concerns).
Some of the rules:
-
This is NOT for re-sale. You want to private label it or something like that - then you contact us.
-
This version will insert holidays for the calendar year 2010 -- it will not insert past January 2, 2011. We want to encourage you to come back next year for newer software with more features. More than that we want your feedback.
